Show Stopper With Love Is Kindness

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

It's been a really special week around here, not only has it been Love Is Kindness week, it's also been fancy fold week too and it's ending with a real SHOW STOPPER... A double twisted easel card.

Sound complicated? Maybe, but it's easy. The difficulty lies in trying to photograph it, so this is an image heavy and indeed long post to rightly do it justice.

The closed card might look a bit strange with the elements like this...

But all becomes clear when the first side is opened...

It's all in the twist...

View from above...

Such a special card deserves coordinating a box...

Card: Pistachio Pudding (8" x 8", two 4" squares, 9 3/4" x 5" 3/4"), Whisper White (for stamping) Best Year Ever DSP (9 13/16" x 5 13/16") and Very Vanilla (snippet)
Ink: Memento Black, Pistachio Pudding and Blushing Bride
Markers: Pink Pirouette and Wild Wasabi Blendies
Stamp Sets: Love Is Kindness, Trust God, Butterfly Basics (happy birthday) and Gorgeous Grunge
Tools and embellishments: Stampin' Trimmer, Labels Collection Franelits, Stamping Sponges, Basics Pearls, Stampin' Dimensionals and punch of choice (for notches in box lid)

Score the 8" square piece of Pistachio Pudding at 4". Turn the card on the Stampin' Trimmer and cut at 4" down to the score line (alternately mark the 4" point and cut using scissors). Score each of the new 4" squares diagonally from the center cut out to the corner and fold.
Stamp the tulip image from the Love Is Kindness stamp set in Memento Black ink onto Whisper White and the snippet of Very Vanilla (only the newspaper wrap is needed). Color the complete image with Pink Pirouette and Wild Wasabi Blendies
Stamp the sentiment from Trust God and the birthday from Butterfly Basics in Memento Black onto Whisper White.
Cut the sentiments, the colored image and an additional one for the box lid using the third Labels Collection framelit (from the smallest). Sponge Blushing Bride ink onto all four panels. Cut the Very Vanilla newspaper wrap and attach to image.
Stamp the splatter from Gorgeous Grunge in Pistachio Pudding ink onto the two 4" squares of Pistachio Pudding card and the inside of the base.
Using Stampin' Dimensionals attach the die cuts to the squares.
To check positioning of the stamped panels, pick the card base up, hold the stamped square onto it and action the fold.
Apply adhesive to the inner triangles, and attach the image and sentiment panels ROTATED 90° as shown
Open both sides of the easel and attach the sentiment stopper with more Stampin' Dimensionals. Complete the card with Basics Pearls in each corner
To create the box, score both card and DSP pieces on all sides at 3/4", fold. Using punch of choice cut notches into the sides of the DSP. Cut the tabs and adhere

The card looks great on the outside...

And on the inside too...

Twisted Easel With Love Is Kindness

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

Today's card is another I've created with the gorgeous tulip image from the Love Is Kindness stamp set from Stampin' Up. It's also a twist on Monday's easel card. If click you missed that one or Tuesday's, click on the days so they will open in another tab.

The twisted easel is just as easy to create as the standard easel and looks even more stunning...

Card: Pear Pizzazz (10" x 5", 5" square, 2½" x 4" for layering and snippet for punching), Hello Honey (2¼" x 3 3/4"), Very Vanilla (2" x 3½" and snippet for punching), Best Year Ever DSP (two 4 3/4" squares) and Whisper White (snippet for newspaper wrap)
Ink: Memento Black and Hello Honey
Markers: Daffodil Delight and Wild Wasabi Blendies
Stamp Sets: Love Is Kindness and Indescribable Gift (sentiment)
Tools: Bracket Label Punch and Stampin' Dimensionals

To create the base card, score and fold the 10" x 5" piece of Pear Pizzazz card at 5", then from one end of that line to the corner diagonally opposite. Attach Best Year Ever DSP to the inside square and the 5" square.
Stamp the tulip image onto Very Vanilla card and color with Daffodil Delight and Wild Wasabi blendies.
Stamp the image onto Whisper White. Cut out the newspaper wrap and attach to the colored image.
Layer the stamped panel onto the Hello Honey and Pear Pizzazz pieces and attach to the DSP covered square.
Fold the card along the middle score line and attach the 5" square of Pear Pizzazz to the base by putting adhesive on the outer triangle and lining up.
Stamp the sentiment from the Indescribable Gift stamp set onto Very Vanilla in Hello Honey ink. Punch out with the Bracket Label punch and punch another from Pear Pizzazz card. Cut the Pear Pizzazz piece in half and attach to the back of the sentiment. Trim the points from the top and bottom and pop up onto the inside of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals to create the stopper for the easel.

Half Front Card With Love Is Kindness

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

The card I'm sharing with you today is another I've created with the gorgeous tulips from the Love Is Kindness stamp set from Stampin' Up! Yep, it's Love Is Kindness week here this week! If you missed yesterday's watercolor card you can see it here. This time I've colored the image with Blendabilities and added in some extra dimension with paper piecing and decoupage...

Card: Coastal Cabana, Whisper White and a snippet of Very Vanilla
Ink: Memento Black
Markers: Rich Razzleberry and Wild Wasabi Blendies
Stamp Sets: Love Is Kindness and Dictionary background
Tools: Paper Snips, Stampin' Dimensionals and Basics Pearls

Create the base card by cutting a piece of Coastal Cabana card in half horizontally, folding vertically and then cutting away half of one side
Line the inside of the card with a piece of Whisper White card (I cut mine ¼" smaller than the inside) and cut another piece of Whisper White for the front panel (again mine is cut ¼" smaller). Stamp the panel in Memento Black ink with the Dictionary Background stamp and attach to the base
Stamp the tulip image from the Love Is Kindness stamp set with Memento Black ink twice onto Whisper White (you only need the flowers from the second) and once onto Very Vanilla (you only need the newspaper wrap)
Color the complete image with Wild Wasabi and Rich Razzleberry blendies (even though the flowers will be decoupaged I prefer to color them, you might not).
Using Paper Snips carefully cut out the Very Vanilla newspaper wrap, without leaving a gap. Attach to the complete image
Color the second set of flowers in the same way as the first. Carefully cut the top six out with the Paper Snips and attach to the complete image using half of a Stampin' Dimensional (I cut and attached them one at a time to make sure the right flower was used and didn't decoupage the lower, partially hidden one)
Layer the image panel onto a panel of Coastal Cabana (I cut my Coastal Cabana layer 1/8" bigger than the Whisper White) and attach to base
Complete the design with strips of Basics Pearls

Watercolor With Love Is Kindness

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

If you're at all like me and totally fed up of winter, with no sign of spring in sight, then hopefully the card I've got for you today will help brighten your day.

I love both the gorgeous wrapped tulips image in the Love Is Kindness stamp set from Stampin' Up! and the sentiment, but to get more use out of them I very, VERY carefully cut the sentiment from the image when I initially mounted the stamp onto the wooden block.

I have used my Aqua Painters and Watercolor paper to create the focal point of today's card...

There's a hidden surprise. This isn't a standard 5" square card, it's an easel...

Card: Crisp Cantaloupe (10" x 5" folded for base, 5" square, 4¼" x 3 1/8" piece for layering and snippet for punching), Watercolor Paper and Best Year Ever DSP (Sale-A-Bration, two 4 3/4" squares)
Ink: Jet Black StazOn, Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz
Stamp Sets: Love Is Kindness and Bloom With Hope (sentiment, hostess set from the annual cattie)
Tools: Aqua Painters, Decorative Label and Scallop Oval punches and Basics Rhinestones

Stamp the image in Jet Black StazOn onto Watercolor Paper and allow to dry for a few moments.
Squeeze the Melon Mambo and Pear Pizzazz ink pads before opening so ink transfers into the lid (or use Reinkers). Paint the image with the transferred ink and the Aqua Painters.
To create the base card, score the 10" x 5" piece of Crisp Cantaloupe at 5" and 7½". Fold and burnish score lines. The second score and fold will create the easel
Attach one 4 3/4" square of Best Year Ever DSP to the 5" Crisp Cantaloupe Square and the other to the inside of the base card. Attach square to base by adding adhesive to the second smaller panel.
Trim the image piece to desired size (mine is 2 3/4" x 3 3/4"), layer onto Crisp Cantaloupe piece and pop up onto the base using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Stamp the sentiment from Bloom With Hope in Melon Mambo ink onto a snippet of Watercolor paper. Punch with the Scallop Oval and layer onto a Crisp Cantaloupe punched Decorative Label. Pop the sentiment onto the inside of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals to create the stopper for the easel.
Attach Basic Rhinestones to complete the design

If you've not tried this type of card before, although it sounds complicated, it really is easy.

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

For the last couple weeks I've kept my thank you card for Friday, but this week I thought I'd change it up a bit and post that card yesterday. The post title is a BIT of a giveaway of today's theme LOL. Yep, Congrats. What for? For making it to Friday for one thing and if you're celebrating anything else, well, congrats for that too!

Today's card is another quick and easy CAS creation using the Simply Wonderful stamp set and Best Year Ever DSP from Stampin' Up! Both are available FREE during Sale-A-Bration when you spend £45 or more (buying the other elements for the card will get you one free item).

Card: Whisper White (folded base and a snippet for stamping) and Best Year Ever DSP
Ink: Baked Brown Sugar
Stamp set: Simply Wonderful

Cut and fold Whisper White card to create the base. Punch diagonally opposite corners.
Cut piece of Best Year Ever DSP (I cut mine ¼" smaller than the base). Round the corners and attach to base card with Snail.

Hmmm, maybe I don't really have a single favorite! I have great friends who ARE the best. I spent some time with one of those friends on Monday, who made my day. Wednesday's card was created to mark a  very special day and milestone. I love the colors and simplicity of Thursday's and I'm so thankful for all of you. Today's could be to congratulate me on the milestone from Wednesday. Can YOU choose a favorite?

Word Art Week ~ Best. Day. Ever.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

Welcome to the third day of Word Art Week. If you've missed or indeed would like to see the other cards again, just click on the days... Monday and Tuesday. They will open in another tab.

Before we get to today's card, I'd like to share something special with you... Last Sunday marked six months since I joined Stampin' Up! and today is my ONE HUNDREDTH Stampin' Up! blog post! Both of them are something worth celebrating and I can honestly say that joining SU was one of my Best. Days. Ever.

I'd like to dedicate today's card, created appropriately with the Best Day Ever stamp set that's available FREE during Sale-A-Bration when you spend £45 or more, to my amazing upline, Vicky and all our Inkredibles and Pinkie sisters. Each of them and indeed all of you have been incredibly supportive over the last six months. THANK YOU!

Card: Coastal Cabana and Irresistibly Yours DSP (another S-A-B choice, panel and snippets)
Ink: Jet Black StazOn and Pool Party
Markers: Bermuda Bay Blendabilities
Stamp Sets: Best Day Ever and Petite Petals
Tools: Petite Petals punch, Corner Rounder punch, Stamping Sponges, Mini Glue Dots and Basics Rhinestones

Cut and fold Coastal Cabana card base and round corners as shown, if desired.
Cut piece of Irresistibly Yours (I cut mine ¼" smaller than the base). Round the corners and sponge all over with Pool Party ink. Remove any excess ink from embossing by gently wiping with a tissue.
Stamp sentiment from Best Day Ever in Jet Black StazOn (other inks wouldn't cover the embossing). Attach to base card.
Stamp the flower from Petite Petals in StazOn onto an offcut of the DSP and color with Bermuda Bay blendies (I kept mine one shade). Punch out with the matching punch and attach to card using Mini Glue Dots.
Complete the design by adding Basics Rhinestones to flower centers and over periods in sentiment.

I LOVE the card. I LOVE my Stampin' sisters and I LOVE all of you! Thanks for sharing this incredible journey with me!

Word Art Week ~ To A Great Friend

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

I love creating cards or a project where the sentiment is the star and for the last few weeks I've had Word Art Wednesday posts. When I looked at the stamp sets that I'd not used, I thought that two of them, both FREE from Sale-A-Bration if you spend over £45, would combine really well to take it up a level and so this week I bring you Word Art Week!

For today's card I've used two of the sentiments from the Simply Wonderful stamp set from Stampin' Up and combined it with one of my favorite techniques and a new favorite die set too...

Card: Whisper White
Ink: Blushing Bride and Versamark
Stamp set: Simply Wonderful
Tools: Labels Collection Framelits, White Stampin Emboss Powder, Corner Rounder, Stamping Sponges

Stamp the "to a great friend" sentiment from Simply Wondeful in Versamark onto Whisper White card and heat emboss with White EP. Leave to cool.
Cut and score the base card and round the corners. Cut the next layer ¼" smaller than the base, round the corners and ink the edges with Blushing Bride ink. Stamp the flower from the set in the corners. Attach panel to base card.
Cut the embossed piece with one of the Labels Collection framelits and sponge with Blushing Bride ink. Stamp the "you're the best" in Blushing Bride ink. Pop panel onto the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The main image on my card is a freebie from challenge sponsor Faery Ink and I've completed the design with Stampin' Up!'s Gorgeous Grunge and sentiment from the Painted Petals stamp set.

I've also decorated the inside of the card, including another sentiment from Painted Petals...

And created a coordinating gift box for a little gift for the recipient...

Card: Whisper White, Strawberry Slush and Baked Brown Sugar
Ink: Strawberry Slush and Blushing Bride
Main image: Mug of love and gratitude from Faery Ink
Stamp sets: Gorgeous Grunge and Painted Petals
Markers: Crumb Cake, Natural (from Skin Tones) and Pink Pirouette Blendabilities
Tools: Owl Builder Punch (hearts), Decorative Label Punch and Envelope Punch Board

Print image on Whisper White, color using Blendies markers and trim panel to desired size. Stamp image from Gorgeous Grunge randomly around image in Blushing Bride ink. Layer panel onto Baked Brown Sugar card, cut 1/4" bigger than Whisper White panel.
Using the same image from Gorgeous Grunge, create a frame around a piece of Whisper White in Blushing Bride and randomly all over another piece. Attach frame to front and second piece inside the folded Strawberry Slush card blank.
Stamp the sentiments from Painted Petals in Strawberry Slush ink onto more Whisper White card and punch both with the Decorative Label Punch.
Attach main image panel to the card front and add sentiment. Attach sentiment to the inside of the card.

Website Revamp & Blendies On Vellum With Indescribable Gift

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

Before we get to today's card, I want to ask what you think of my website revamp? It took a lot of work yesterday and there may still be one or two tweaks needed, but I'm really happy with the look and hope you like it too! If you subscribe to my posts by email, please click on the title to see the post on the site.

Now on to today's card...

I absolutely LOVE the Indescribable Gift stamp set from Stampin' Up! and there are so many different ways it can be used. Today I'm sharing another, on the last day of Indescribable Gift week...

Card: Whisper White (folded card base and snippet for stamping) and Vellum (cut panel 1/4 inch smaller than card front)
Ink; Jet Black Stazon and Pool Party
Markers: Crumb Cake blendies, Bermuda Bay blendies and Wild Wasabi blendies
Stamp set: Indescribable Gift
Tools: Labels Collection Framelits, Stamping Sponges, Mini Glue Dots and Stampin' Dimensionals

Stamp the image onto Vellum with Jet Black Stazon and leave to dry
Cut a window in the card front with one of the Labels Collection Framelits. Keep the cut out for another project.
Flip the Vellum over and color the image with the blendies. The colors will be lighter because of the vellum, so use the darker shades if desired.
Open the card and place the image over the window to check positioning, trim vellum if necessary. Attach to inside of card using Mini Glue Dots.
Stamp sentiment in Pool Party onto Whisper White and cut with smallest die. Pop up onto card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I REALLY struggling to choose a favorite from this week's cards. Here's a recap (click the pic to go to the post for details)...

Can you choose a favorite?

Stained Glass With Indescribable Gift

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

Today's card is the fourth I've created this week with the gorgeous Indescribable Gift stamp set from Stampin' Up! If you've missed any of the others, click the days and catch up (each will open in a new tab): Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.

I've always loved the look of stained glass and thanks to Stazon, Window Sheets, Blendabilities markers and dies it's easy to create stained glass cards...

Card: Crumb Cake (folded base), Whisper White (inside panel) and Irresistibly Yours DSP (FREE during Sale-A-Bration)
Ink: Jet Black Stazon and Soft Sky
Markers: Crumb Cake blendies, Wild Wasabi blendies and Night of Navy Blendies
Stamp set: Indescribable Gift
Tools etc: Window Sheet (cut panel 1/4 inch smaller than the card base), Labels Collection Framelits, Magnetic Platform, Stamping Sponges and Mini Glue Dots

Stamp the image with Jet Black Stazon onto Window Sheet and allow to dry
Cut and fold the card base from Crumb Cake. Cut the Whisper White and Irresistibly Yours DSP panels.
Place the DSP panel onto the front of the folded card base on the Magnetic Platform (don't stick the panel down), put the Labels Collection die on top and cut (I cut my window off center so I can add a sentiment later). Keep both cut out pieces for another project.
Flip the Window Sheet over and color with the blendies markers. Use the DARKEST shade marker or the color won't show. Leave to dry.
Sponge Soft Sky ink over the Irresistibly Yours panel and wipe off excess ink from the embossing with a tissue.
Attach the Whisper White panel inside the card and carefully attach the DSP panel to the front.
Open the card and check positioning of image in the window. Trim Window Sheet if necessary and use Mini Glue Dots to attach to the inside of the card.

Easter Card With Indescribable Gift

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know.

Today's card is the latest of this week's creations with the gorgeous Indescribable Gift stamp set from Stampin' Up! Click on the days to catch up with Monday's and Tuesday's cards.

I know Easter might seem so far away, but with Lent starting this time next week, I needed to make a start on my cards...

Card: Whisper White (folded base and extra for stamping) and Irresistibly Yours DSP (FREE with Sale-A-Bration)
Ink: Memento Black and Blushing Bride
Markers: Crumb Cake Blendies, Wild Wasabi Blendies and Pink Pirouette Blendies
Tools: Labels Collection Framelits, Stamping Sponge and Stampin' Dimensionals

Stamp the image from Indescribable Gift in Memento Black ink onto Whisper White card. Color with the Blendabilities markers and cut with one of the Labels Collection Framelits.
Stamp the sentiment from the set in Blushing Bride onto more Whisper White. Cut with the smallest die from the set and sponge the edges with the same ink.
Sponge Blushing Bride ink over the panel of Irresistibly Yours DSP. Wipe excess ink from the embossed areas with a tissue. Attach panel to folded base card.
Pop the image onto the card using Stampin' Dimensionals and offset. Attach sentiment with more Stampin Dimensionals

This is the first card I've created using the FREE DSP and I love it!

Embossed Vellum With Indescribable Gift

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

The card I'm sharing with you today is the second of this week's created with the gorgeous Indescribable Gift stamp set from Stampin' Up! If you missed yesterday's you can see it here. The card was inspired by one created by Deb Valder and is the first time I've used the technique...

Card: Whisper White, Vellum, Strawberry Slush and Crisp Cantaloupe
Ink: Black Stazon
Stamp set: Indescribable Gift
Tools and embellishments: Labels Collection Framelits, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, Stylus, Stampin' Pierce Mat, Mini Glue Dots and Stampin' Dimensionals

Stamp the image onto Vellum with Black Stazon and allow to dry.
Emboss the Strawberry Slush panel with the Decorative Dots EF and attach to folded Whisper White card base.
Cut a frame from Crisp Cantaloupe card using 2 of the Labels Collection framelits (keep the insert for another project) and a panel from the same card using the larger die.
When the image is dry, flip over and place onto your Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using your Stylus in small circles carefully emboss the image so that it turns white.
Cut the vellum with the larger of the Labels Collection dies and attach to the frame with Mini Glue Dots.
Attach the framed image to the Crisp Cantaloupe panel with more Mini Glue Dots. Pop up onto the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Color Bingo At 613 Avenue Create

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments! I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

I'm SO honored to have joined the Design Team at 613 Avenue Create! I joined the team late last week and wanted to create a card to thank Chana and my DT sisters. The latest challenge is Color Bingo and while I got the card created in time for the launch of the challenge yesterday, I'm a bit late with the post. Sorry girls!

I've created the card with the gorgeous Indescribable Gift stamp set from Stampin' Up!

Click on the Bingo Card below to be taken to the challenge. I've used the top to bottom diagonal line, pink, brown (free) and green...

Card: Whisper White (folded base, panel and snippet for sentiment)
Ink: Crumb Cake and Blushing Bride
Stamp sets: Indescribable Gift and Painted Petals (sentiment)
Markers: Pink Pirouette and Wild Wasabi Blendabilities
Tools: Decorative Label punch and Stampin' Dimensionals

Stamp the image randomly on the Whisper White panel in Crumb Cake ink.
Color the leaves with the lightest of the Wild Wasabi blendies.
Color the flowers with Pink Pirouette blendies (I used one color for each of the flowers instead of blending them). Attach panel to the folded base card.
Stamp the sentiment from Painted Petals in Blushing Bride ink onto a snippet of Whisper White. Punch out the sentiment and pop up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Painted Petals Thank You!

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments! I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

Today's card is a Thank you I've created with Painted Petals and I want to thank each of you for sharing this week with me...

Card: Whisper White (card base, panel and a snippet for stamping) and Coastal Cabana
Ink: Tempting Turquoise
Markers: Coastal Cabana Blendabilities
Die: Butterfly Thinlits
Tools and embellishments: Bracket Label Punch, Basics Pearls (colored with blendies), Mini Glue Dots and Stampin' Dimensionals

Stamp the flower head in Tempting Turquoise multiple times onto the Whisper White panel as desired (I didn't reink until faded) to create the background. Attach to folded base.
Cut the medium butterfly from Coastal Cabana card and attach to base with a couple Mini Glue Dots.
Color 5 pearls with the Coastal Cabana blendies (I used the darkest shade) and allow to dry.
Stamp the sentiment in Tempting Turquoise onto Whisper White and punch out with the Bracket Label punch. Punch another from Coastal Cabana card. Pop up onto the base with Stampin' Dimensionals and offset the top one.
Attach the colored pearls along the butterfly body.

I've LOVED creating and sharing the Painted Petals creations with you this week and although I love them all, I do have a favorite. Before I tell you which it is, here's a recap. Click the image to be taken to the post...

Ok, so my favorite is Tuesday's. I'd love to know which is yours?
