Watercolor Blooms

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

I promised you on Wednesday that today's creation hasn't been created with either Watercolor Wings or the Bold Butterfly Framelits. What I couldn't promise you is that it wouldn't include those elements in some way!

Let me explain... as the title of today's post says, I've created a watercolor scene, using a favorite stamp set from the Occasions catalog that's been carried over into the new annual. Yep, the flowers are indeed from the Butterfly Basics stamp set from Stampin' Up!

Card: Watercolor Paper, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White

The Little Moments

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

The card I'm sharing with you today was inspired by the latest challenge over at TGIF, where the theme is "Together Forever". It's another I've created with the Wonderful Wings and Bold Butterflies die bundle, but the main focus is the gorgeous flourish from Flowering Flourishes...

I've kept it CAS and embossed the flourish and sentiment in gold and added a few sequins to complete it.

Card: Whisper White
Ink: Versamark
Stamp sets: Flowering Flourishes and Watercolor Wings (sentiment)
Tools and embellishments: Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder and Heat Tool, Bold Butterflies and Deco Labels Framelits, and Gold Sequin Trim
Adhesives: Stampin Dimensionals and Tombow

Watercolor Wings Hallett Bag

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

I know that this is the fourth Watercolor Wings creation I've shared with you in a week, but I LOVE the set and there are SO many things you can do with it.

The original Hallett bag designed by my Stampin' Sister Caroline uses a piece of 12" long DSP for the bag. No DSP that size? NO problem! You can sub in two pieces that are 6" x 3½" and you can even create your OWN DSP using a favorite stamp set. Yep, I've done BOTH for today's. The only difference between this version and Caroline's original is that I've got the seams on either end, rather than at the back...

Card: Whisper White and Coastal Cabana (retired)
Ink: Soft Sky, Pool Party and Lost Lagoon
Stamp set: Watercolor Wings
Tools: Bold Butterfly Framelits and Envelope Punch Board
Adhesive: Sticky Strip (retired) and Tombow

Caroline's original measurements... my substitutions
Bag base 2½" x 5¼, scored on all sides at ½"
Bag sides 3½" x 12"... 3½" x 6" (2)
Edging ½" x 12" (3)... ½" x 6" (6) for the top, bottom and inside of the bag
Handles 3/8" x 6" (2)

Boho Chic Butterflies ~ Pinkies Blog Hop

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We're showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin' Up!® Annual Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

It's GREAT to again be joining my Stampin' sisters for another hop and yep, I'm SUper excited to be surrounded by such talented and inspirational ladies! There's so many AMAZING new products in the new cattie and it was a bit difficult to decide what to share with you today, but regular readers may not be surprised at all to know that I've included butterflies!

While Stampin' Up! have so many amazing colors across their range, there is very little color at all in my creation. Just a soft hint of Blushing Bride in the sentiment...

I love how the intricate butterflies from the Bold Butterflies Framelits pop against the Boho Chic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder which I've used on the debossed side. The sentiment is from the Watercolor Wings stamp set, which is available in a bundle with the Framelits and has itself featured in posts on my blog this week. The sentiment has been cut with the smallest Deco Label Framelit and the design completed with Basics Pearls.

Thanks again for stopping by. I'll be back on Monday with another creation showcasing some of the products I've used today, so I hope you'll join me then.

More Watercolor Wings

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

I've only had the new Watercolor Wings stamp set from Stampin' Up! for a week, but it's already one of my favorite stamp sets. The design of the set means that the color combinations and therefore the design possibilities are almost endless!

For today's card I've used the same base for the butterfly as I did for Wednesday's card, but this time stamped it in Blushing Bride ink. The highlights are Melon Mambo and the body Early Espress ink. I've then used the same colors to stamp the background and sentiment...

Card: Whisper White
Ink: Blushing Bride, Melon Mambo and Early Espresso
Stamp set: Watercolor Wings
Tools: Bold Butterflies Framelits
Adhesive: Stampin' Dimensionals and Tombow

Watercolor Wings

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

The card I'm sharing with you today was, despite it's simplicity, quite a challenge for me to design. Why? Because it's to be entered into the latest challenge over at TGIF. Yep, after a slow start and missing the first few there, I'm on a roll. The issue for me was that it's a sketch challenge and I often really struggle with a sketch, for some reason.

That said, I'm REALLY happy with the look of the card, the first I've created with the stunning NEW Watercolor Wings stamp and Bold Butterflies die bundle from Stampin' Up!, which I've stamped in three of my favorite colors...

Card: Whisper White
Ink: Soft Sky (butterfly wings), Pool Party (wing tips, sentiment and sponging) and Lost Lagoon (body and background)
Stamp set: Watercolor Wings
Tools: Bold Butterfly Framelits
Adhesive: Stampin' Dimensionals and Tombow

Gorgeously Grungy Butterfly

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

The card I'm sharing with you today has been created using a new to me technique that is so easy and has me wondering why I've waited until now to try it? The technique of which I speak is inlaying a die cut.

I've used some of my favorite things to create the card... Gorgeous Grunge and Trust God stamp sets from Stampin' Up!, Butterfly Thinlits and a few favorite inks, Soft Sky, Pool Party and Lost Lagoon. Because I wanted to add some dimension to the card, I've backed the inlay with vellum, and to finish the design I've scattered some gold sequins...

Card: Whisper White and Vellum
Inks: Soft Sky, Pool Party, Lost Lagoon
Stamp sets: Gorgeous Grunge and Trust God
Tools and embellishments: Butterfly Thinlits, Decorative Label punch, Gold Sequins (from trim)
Adhesives: Stampin' Dimensionals and Tombow

Flag Day at 613 Avenue Create

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

The card I'm sharing with you today is my latest DT offering for the new challenge over at 613 Avenue Create, where the OPTIONAL twist this week is to use the colors of your country's flag in your creation.

I've used some artistic license for this one, because instead of my own patriotic colors of red, white and blue, I've only used red and white, the colors of Canada. Some of my dearest friends are Canadian, so for this challenge, you've unknowingly adopted me ;)

The sponsor image I've colored is one from Rick St. Dennis and I've surrounded her with firework-like spatters from my favorite Stampin' Up! stamp set, Gorgeous Grunge...

Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Markers: Skin tone, Cherry Cobbler and Smoky Slate Blendabilities (retired)

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

Days after I posted this watercolor creation using the beautiful Blended Bloom stamp from Stampin' Up!, I saw the latest challenge over at TGIF is also a watercolor theme. There was only one thing to do, reach for the stamp and my Aqua Painters again! This time I've used another of my favorite colors, Rich Razzleberry and created a watercolor background...

I LOVE the variation that you can get by simply using a bit more water with the ink! The leaves and sentiment from Kinda Eclectic complete the design perfectly, even if I say so myself!

Hi everyone,

Gorgeous Grungy Painted Petals Remix

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

The card I'm sharing with you today is a remix of the one I shared with you this time last week, Gorgeous Grungy Painted Petals. What? I created that card for the challenge over at TGIF and their next challenge asks us to mashup two of their May challenges and remix them. I had only entered one, so I've chosen their sketch challenge, TGIFC02, as the base for my remixed card.

Here's the sketch that I used...

And a reminder of the inspiration from TGIFC04...

Card: Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe (both now retired) and Whisper White

Butterfly Basics Hallett Bag

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

The project I'm sharing with you today is an adorable Hallett bag, that was designed and named after my friend Caroline, AKA Crafty Hallett. I've seen LOADS of them around and thought it was about time I got on trend!

I've used some Sale-A-Bration DSP and the Butterfly Basics stamp and die set from Stampin' Up! to create it. The bundle is available in the current catalog and *whispers* it's being carried over into the NEW annual that launches tomorrow...

The cards are 4" x 4" and I've used the Envelope Punch Board to create the envelopes which have been stamped to match the cards

Card: Whisper White
DSP: Best Year Ever (Sale-A-Bration)
Ink: Lost Lagoon
Stamp set: Butterfly Basics (bundle with dies and save 15%)
Die: Butterfly Thinlits (bundle with the stamp set and save 15%)
Adhesive: Sticky Strip

I LOVED creating the set and will definitely be making more. For full instructions, please take a look at Caroline's video.
