Lotus Blossom Thank You

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

Today's card is the last (BOO!) of Lotus Blossom week and it's another gorgeous card, if I do say so myself! Having used just one color for the other four creations, I've used 2 for today's card, Strawberry Slush and Blackberry Bliss, so you could say this card is berry-licious!

Card: Whisper White, folded base, panel and extra for stamping
Ink: Strawberry Slush, Blackberry Bliss and Crumb Cake
Markers: Strawberry Slush Stampin' Write (from 2013-2015 In Color pack) and Blackberry Bliss (from 2014-2016 In Color pack)
Stamp sets: Lotus Blossom, Hardwood and Painted Petals (sentiment).
Tools: Flower Medallion Punch (available separately or as part of the Petal Potpourri bundle) and Paper Snips

Stamp the step one Lotus Blossom stamp in Blackberry Bliss onto Whisper White. Complete the blossoms with Strawberry Slush ink, stamped off once. Fussy cut with Paper snips.
Stamp the Hardwood onto the panel in Crumb Cake. Punch with the Flower Medallion near an and and trim to even if need be. KEEP the punch out for another project! Attach panel to folded base card.
Ink the sentiment stamp with the Strawberry Slush marker, then color the "thank", top and bottom of the "you" with the Blackberry Bliss marker. Stamp in the aperture.
Attach the blossoms with Mini Glue Dots.

It's so hard for me to choose a favorite from the five very different cards I've created with a stamp set that's become a new favorite! Can you help me choose, please? Here's a reminder of the others (click on pix to be taken to the post for details)...

Emboss Resist Lotus Blossom

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

Welcome to day four of Lotus Blossom Week! If you've missed any of the other posts, or you'd like to take another look, here they are... Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Regular readers will know that I've recently discovered the gorgeous emboss resist technique and I'm trying to incorporate it into designs whenever I can. Perhaps I'll add an "Emboss Resist Week" into my to-do schedule for the blog? Please let me know if that's something you'd like to see and if so, which stamp set you'd like me to try it with?

For today's card I've used an emboss resist panel with the foliage from Butterfly Basics as the background for gorgeous Blackberry Bliss Lotus Blossoms...

Card: Whisper White, folded base, panel and extra for the Lotus Blossoms
Ink: Versamark, Pool Party, Blackberry Bliss and Pear Pizzazz
Stamp sets: Butterfly Basics, Lotus Blossom and Painted Petals (sentiment)
Tools: White Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Stamping Sponges and Paper Snips

Stamp the foliage from Butterfly Basics in Versamark 3 times onto the Whisper White panel, varying the height. Cover with White Embossing Powder and heat. Leave to cool.
Stamp the 3 step Lotus Blossoms in Blackberry Bliss onto extra Whisper White, stamping off before layers 2 and 3. Fussy cut with the Paper Snips.
Sponge Pool Party ink over the embossed panel to cover.
Stamp the 2 step Lotus Blossom stems onto the panel in Pear Pizzazz, stamping off before the second and varying the height.
Stamp the sentiment from Painted Petals in Blackberry Bliss onto the panel and attach to the folded base card.
Attach the blossoms to the base with Mini Glue Dots.

Although this card isn't the quickest to create, the finished look is well worth the effort. I love the design! and hope you do too.

Lotus Blossom Frame

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

As I was creating the first couple of cards with the Lotus Blossom stamp set from Stampin' Up!, which you can see here and here, I looked at the spare piece of paper which I was stamping off on and it gave me an idea. From that idea came today's card...

Card: Whisper White, folded base, panel and extra for the sentiment
Ink: Tempting Turquoise
Stamp sets: Lotus Blossom (step 2 stamp) and Trust God
Tools: Decorative Label Punch

With the Whisper White panel laid vertically, stamp the blossom in Tempting Turquoise onto one of the lower corners, then next to it. Reink the stamp and stamp in the other corner, turn the card and stamp again. Repeat until you've created a frame. Attach panel to folded base card.
Stamp the sentiment in Tempting Turquoise, punch out with the Decorative Label punch and attach to panel with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I love the look and will definitely be trying it in other colors soon!

Gorgeously Grungy Lotus Blossom

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

For today's card, the second of this week's Lotus Blossom creations (if you missed yesterday's you can see it here), I've teamed refreshing Strawberry Slush blossoms with a Crumb Cake Gorgeous Grunge background and one of my favorite sentiment stamps from the Painted Petals set...

Card: Whisper White, folded base, panel and snippets for stamping
Ink: Strawberry Slush and Crumb Cake
Stamp sets: Lotus Blossom (FREE with Sale-A-Bration!), Gorgeous Grunge and Painted Petals
Tools: Decorative Label Punch, Stamping Sponges and Paper Snips

Stamp the 3 step blossoms in Strawberry Slush onto a snippet of Whisper White, stamping off once for the second and third stamps. Fussy cut with your Paper Snips.
Randomly stamp the Gorgeous Grunge stamp in Crumb Cake over the cut panel and attach to the folded base card.
Stamp the sentiment in Strawberry Slush onto another snippet of card, punch out with the Decorative Label punch and sponge the edges with Crumb cake.
Attach the three blossoms to the right edge of the card using Glue Dots and attach the sentiment in the center with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I gotta say I absolutely LOVE the card! With such a heartfelt sentiment it would be perfect to send at any time of year, but perhaps especially so for a birthday?

Zingy Lotus Blossom

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

The Lotus Blossom stamp set from Stampin' Up! has been sat on my desk for almost a month and while I've used a few of the sentiments in the set on other cards, I've been a bit apprehensive of using the flower stamps! So totally silly, I know! All that changed this morning and I spent a few hours playing and you know what? I LOVE it!

I've seen so many great designs created with the set, but I thought I'd start of by creating a simple card using only the stamps in the set and a couple favorite punches...

Card: Whisper White and Tangelo Twist
Ink: Tangelo Twist and Pear Pizzazz
Tools: Bracket Label and Decorative Label punches

Stamp the three step blossoms onto a spare piece of Whisper White, stamping off once for the second and third layers and fussy cut (this is quicker than you might think!).
Stamp the two step stems onto the bottom of a panel of Whisper White and layer this onto a Tangelo Twist panel then onto the card base.
Attach the flowers with a few glue dots.
Stamp sentiment onto Whisper White and punch with the Bracket Label. Layer onto a Tangelo Twist Decorative Label and attach above the blossoms.

Stamp sets; Petal Potpourri and Painted Petals

Randomly stamp the flower onto a Whisper White panel and once onto another piece, (I started by stamping the now hidden one in the center). Attach to folded card base. Color the additional bloom with Crisp Cantaloupe, punch out and attach to the panel.

Color the sentiment stamp with the Crisp Cantaloupe marker and then carefully color the "you are" and "amazing" with the Strawberry Slush marker. Punch out. Punch another from Crisp Cantaloupe, cut in half horizontally and trim the points. Layer behind the sentiment and attach to panel.

Zingy Refresh Renew Rejoice

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

We've reached the middle of Petal Potpourri week and if you're feeling tired today's zingy, zesty colors, together with the beautiful sentiment from the Indescribable Gift stamp set from Stampin' Up!, will hopefully give you a boost...

Card: Whisper White, Tangelo Twist and Hello Honey
Ink: Tangelo Twist and Hello Honey
Markers: Tangelo Twist and Hello Honey (from 2014-2016 In Color Stampin' Write set)
Stamps: Petal Potpourri and Indescribable Gift
Tools: Bracket Label Punch

Stamp the two smallest stamps from the Petal Potpourri set randomly onto a Whisper White panel, (I started with the flower shape and filled in the gaps). Attach to Tangelo Twist panel.

Scribble the Hello Honey marker all over the sentiment stamp, then carefully go over the bottom half of the letters with the Tangelo Twist. Huff on the stamp to moisten if needed and stamp onto Whisper White. Punch out with the Bracket Label and attach to one punched from Hello Honey. Attach to card.

Many Thanks With Petal Potpourri

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments! I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more you know!

I absolutely LOVED taking part in my first ever blog hop on Saturday with my Pinkie sisters and wanted to create a card to thank all of them and indeed all of you too! I've used two of the new stamp sets from Stampin' Up! to create the card, Petal Potpourri and Lotus Blossom, plus an old favorite, Petite Petals. Both the Petal sets have matching punches, so creating the card took no time at all...

Card: Whisper White
Inks: Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe and Crumb Cake
Stamp sets: Petal Potpourri, Lotus Blossom (sentiment) and Petite Petals
Tools: Flower Medallion (available in a bundle with Petal Potpourri and Petite Petals punch

Stamp 2 flowers in one color and one in the other and punch out. Use a mini glue dot to adhere together.
Stamp the sentiment 3 times onto the card base and adhere the flowers.

Refresh, Renew, Rejoice

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

Regular readers might recall how much I LOVE the Blendabilities markers from Stampin' Up! If so, it might surprise you to hear that it took me until yesterday to use them this year! What??? It was well worth the wait though and I can't wait to get my hands on the FOUR new sets from the Occasions catalog!

Stampin' Up!'s new Indescribable Gift stamp set is perfect for not only Easter, but any time of year thanks to the other sentiments in the set, including the one I've used on today's card...

I stamped the image in Memento ink on Whisper White card. I've colored the flowers with the Pumpkin Pie blendies, the leaves with Old Olive and the branch with Bronze from the Skin Tone set.

The dual color look of the sentiment is easy to achieve thanks to the 2014-2016 In Color Stampin' Write Markers. Using the brush tip, I colored it all in Hello Honey, then went over the lower part of the letters with the Tangelo Twist marker.

To complete the card I popped the white panel onto Hello Honey and Tangelo Twist using Stampin' Dimensions and added a few more to the sentiment, which I'd punched out with the Bracket Label punch.

Celebrate Your Big Day

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

I created the card I'm sharing with you today using one of the FREE stamp sets, Big Day, that you can get during Stampin' Up!'s Sale-A-Bration event. If you missed yesterday's SAB and Occasions catalog launch post, you can see it here).

It's the first time I've used the set and I love it! There are five stamps in the set and I've used them all to create the card; the 3 I've used for the sentiment panel, the tiny candle and the fifth, a delicious birthday cake which is hiding inside for the recipient to find...

I've stamped everything in what else but Crumb Cake ink, then colored the lettering and banner with my Crisp Cantaloupe Stampin' Write marker from the 2013 - 2015 In Color set, and I then layered the Whisper White stamped layer onto a Crisp Cantaloupe panel. To add a finishing touch of glitter I've used Dazzling Details on the candle flames, although the photo doesn't shown this well, I assure you it's there!

Sending Wishes Your Way

Hi everyone,

Happy New Year! Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments on my New Year's Eve post. I'm honored to have you here and truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

A quick reminder that today is the last day to order from the Seasonal catalog and the Year End Closeouts also end this evening. So if there's anything you wanted but haven't got around to buying yet, there's only a few hours to do so!

The Occasions catalog that launches tomorrow (January 6, 2015) is packed with so much goodness and my personal wish/ shopping list is almost endless! The card I'm sharing today gives you a sneak peek of some of the goodies, so enough chatter...

I've used the new Butterfly Basics stamp and die bundle to create the card. Regular readers will perhaps not be surprised that it was at the top of my "Must have" list as soon as I saw it, because of my love of butterflies!

I stamped the foliage from the set in pear pizzazz 3 times for the graduated look onto a Whisper White panel. The Sentiment is one of 3 in the set and is stamped in Melon Mambo onto more white and punched with the Decorative Label punch and layered onto Crisp Cantaloupe. The delicate butterfly is the second of 3 in the die set and has been cut from Strawberry Slush card.

To complete the design I layered the stamped panel onto a Pistachio Pudding base card, added Basics Pearls to the butterfly body and popped the sentiment up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
