Thank You For Seeing Me Through...

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

The card I'm sharing with you today is another that has been created with the Me = Grateful stamp set from Stampin' Up! This time I've teamed it with the all new, amazing Brick Wall TIEF and the extremely versatile stamp set, Sprinkles of Life.

The card is dedicated to each and every one of my Stampin' Sisters for all their support over the last 12 months. Each of them and indeed each of you, my readers and friends, have seen me through some dark days and have definitely brightened the rest...

Card: Whisper White and Crumb Cake
Ink: Crumb Cake, Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush
Markers: Tip Top Taupe, Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush Stampin' Write (from 2015-2017 In Color pack
Stamp sets: Me = Grateful and Sprinkles of Life
Tools: Brick Wall TIEF, Stamping Sponges and Craft Knife
Adhesive: Stampin' Dimensionals

I started by embossing the Whisper White card with the Brick Wall TIEF, then using the writing nib of the Tip Top Taupe Stampin' Write marker doodled in the mortar between the bricks, before sponging with Crumb Cake ink.

Using a craft knife, carefully cut away enough bricks for the first part of the sentiment, and stamp the second onto the wall using Watermelon Wonder ink.

Stamp the stems in Cucumber Crush ink and color in the leaves with the matching Stampin' Write marker. Add the flowers in the same way with Watermelon Wonder ink and marker.

Lay the wall panel over the folded Crumb Cake card base and carefully stamp the sentiment in Watermelon Wonder ink through the aperture. Attach the panel to the base with Stampin' Dimensionals

Framed Triple Butterfly with Me = Grateful

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

If the title of today's post seems familiar, you'd be right! I loved the style of THIS card so much, that I've used the same style and basic design for today's card. Instead of using a sentiment from Trust God, as in the original, I've used one from Me = Grateful, stamped in one of the new 2015-2017 In Colors, Delightful Dijon and swapped the rhinestones for pearls...

Card: So Saffron, Whisper White and snippets of Very Vanilla and Vellum
Ink: Delightful Dijon
Stamp set: Me = Grateful
Tools and embellishments: Bold Butterflies Framelits, Butterfly Thinlits, Simply Scored and stylus, Basic Pearls

Hope Your Day... with Sprinkles of Life

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

Today's card is one that was inspired by the current challenge over at my Stampin' Sister Julia's Facebook page. I've used the amazingly versatile stamp set Sprinkles of Life from Stampin' Up!, and the matching Tree Builder Punch. For every Sprinkles of Life stamp set sold, Stampin' Up will make a donation to the Ronald McDonald House Children's Charity.

Although this is the first card I've created with the set, it's already a firm favorite. Talking of favorites, my favorite ice cream flavor is mint choc chip, and the new In Color, Mint Macaron, is the perfect match...

Stampin' with Embossing Folders Pictorial

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

Following last week's series of cards that were all created by stampin' using the Boho Chic embossing folder from Stampin' Up! (which can be seen here, here and here), a few of you asked me how it was done, so today I'm sharing a bonus card, this time using two of my favorite inks and detailed pictorial on the basic technique. By it's nature this post is image heavy, so it might take some time to load...

Petite Petals and Butterfly Basics stamp sets, Boho Chic EF, Petite Petals and Decorative Label punches...

Tempting Turquoise and Rich Razzleberry inks, folded Whisper White card base, panel cut ¼" smaller and scraps for stamping...

Open the embossing folder and ink the raised image with Tempting Turquoise ink...

Carefully place the Whisper White card panel on top and press to transfer the ink...

Carefully lift up the panel and don't worry if there's some smudging...

Stamp chosen flower from Petite Petals 6 times in Rich Razzleberry ink...

Stamp sentiment from Butterfly Basics in the same ink...

Punch flowers and sentiment with the Petite Petals and Decorative Label punches...

Add Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the panel, sentiment and flowers...

Attach panel to the folded Whisper White card base...

Attach flowers and sentiment and you're done...

Card: Whisper White
Ink: Tempting Turquoise and Rich Razzleberry
Stamp sets: Petite Petals and Butterfly Basics

Boho Bird with Trust God

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

Before I get to the card I'm sharing with you today, I have to tell you about a fab giveaway that Mynn, the owner of House of Cards, is running on her personal blog, On A Stampage, to celebrate her 5th blogiversary. Click HERE, or on the button at the top of the right bar to be taken to it. Congratulations Mynn!

Ok, now to the card. It was inspired by a challenge on my friend and Stampin' Sister Julia's Facebook page, where the theme was to create a card with blue and a bird in it. I'd just completed Monday's card and the Trust God stamp set from Stampin' Up! was still on my desk. In seconds the design of the card was complete in my mind and within ten minutes the card was too!

Framed Triple Butterfly with Trust God

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

Regular readers will doubtless know that I absolutely LOVE butterflies. Luckily for me there are a lot of new butterfly themed items in the Stampin' Up! catalog that was released last month. The new Bold Butterflies Framelits coordinate perfectly with the Butterfly Thinlits that were in the Occasions catalog and have been carried over. Each die set contains either an intricate butterfly or a full one, in two sizes, and the Butterfly Framelits also include a large intricate die.

I've used the four coordinating dies to create today's card, cutting the intricate ones from Very Vanilla and layering them over Vellum. The frame referred to in the title of the post has been created easily on my Scoreboard and I've added a sentiment from Trust God, before finishing with Basic Rhinestones.

Color and/ or Flag at 613 Avenue Create

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

The card I'm sharing with you today is my DT creation for the latest challenge at 613 Avenue Create, where the optional twist is a "create your own, using colors and or flags". With us celebrating America's birthday yesterday, I knew immediately that I'd go with an American theme.

Luckily for me the sponsor Inky Impressions had the perfect image, Flag Lili. She would have been great on her own, but I stepped it up by using the Work of Art stamp set from Stampin' Up! to create an Old Glory inspired backdrop for her...

Card: Whisper White and Cherry Cobbler
Ink: Cherry Cobbler and Tempting Turquoise (both stamped off first)
Stamp set: Work of Art
Sponsor Image: Flag Lily from Inky Impressions printed onto Whisper White
Markers: Skin Tone, Cherry Cobbler, Soft Sky and Smoky Slate Blendabilities (all retired) and White Gel Pen (stars on backdrop)

Happy Early Birthday America!

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

The card I'm sharing with you today is one I've created to celebrate America's birthday. While the official celebrations aren't until tomorrow, I wanted to post the card today because like many Americans I'm taking today off, and I will already be enjoying my long weekend by the time this scheduled post goes live.

The card was quick and easy to create, even though I added each of the stars by hand! The sentiments I've added remind us that while we celebrate our Independence and our motherland's birthday, it's equally as important to give thanks to all who made it possible and all who have fought for our freedom.

Card: Whisper White
Ink: Cherry Cobbler and Tempting Turquoise
Stamp sets: Work of Art and Good Greetings (retired)
Tools: White Gel Pen (stars)

Whether or not you're celebrating America's Independence, whatever you're doing this weekend, have a GREAT one! I'll be back on Sunday with my DT creation for the latest challenge over at 613 Avenue Create, so I hope you'll join me then.

For now I'll leave you with one of my favorite patriotic songs.

Food &/or Color Inspiration for House of Cards

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

Before I get to the card I'm sharing with you today, I have some very exciting news! Some of you might remember that I applied for the new House of Cards design team, with this card early last month. To my absolute surprise, I MADE THE TEAM!!!

I found out almost two weeks ago and it's been a struggle to keep it from all of you! The news is still sinking in, but I think it will now with this post. I must say a HUGE THANK YOU to Mynn for allowing me to join the team I guested for back in February with this card. I'm SO honored to be joining such an amazingly talented group of ladies!

Ok, enough chatter, for now. Here's the inspiration and cues for this month's challenge, Food and/ or colors...

And my card, with it's snazzy new watermark...

While I love the summery colors in the cue card, I've chosen to go with the food theme. Not only is this my DT debut card for House of Cards, the stamp set is one from my NBUS (never before used stuff) pile, Stampin' Up!'s A Happy Thing from this year's Sale-a-Bration (now retired).
