Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

Today's project is one I've created for a challenge set by the wonderful Michelle Last and inspired by one given to all Stampin' Up! Demos at OnStage earlier this month, to use the soon to be retired Everyday Chic washi tape.

I added the silver chevron tape from the 5 roll pack to some white card before die cutting and punching the smaller butterflies from it.

Please hop over to Michelle's blog and vote for my card and 2 others. Thank you!

Ink: Lost Lagoon
Stamp sets: Butterfly Basics
Tools and embellishments: Everyday Chic Washi Tape, Bold Butterfly and Butterfly Thinlits, Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly punches, Basic Rhinestones.

Watercolor Wings Mini Easel Card Pictorial

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

I'm never one to break a promise, so today I'm keeping the one I made to you in Monday's post, to bring you the pictorial for my butterfly mini easel card. By it's nature the post is image heavy, so grab a beverage of choice and take a look. I promise it will be worth it.

Card: Soft Sky, Regular Whisper White (envelope) and Thick Whisper White
Ink: Soft Sky, Pool Party and Lost Lagoon (soon to be retired, Bermuda Bay would also work with this color combo)
Stamp sets: Watercolor Wings
Tools and embellishments: Butterfly and Bold Butterfly thinlits, Simply Score Board and stylus, Envelope Punch Board
Adhesives: Tombow and Sticky Strip (retired, for envelope)

Card: 5 1/2" square of regular Whisper White (for envelope); Soft Sky 3 1/2" x 4 1/2", plus a scrap for smaller butterfly; Thick Whisper White 3 1/2" x 2 1/2"

Inks

Begin by scoring the 5 1/2" square of Whisper White on the EPB to create a 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" envelope. Stamp the base image from Watercolor Wings in Soft Sky ink on both the Thick and Regular Whisper White (see later pic)

Add the Pool Party accents with the Watercolor Wings stamp set

Stamp the butterfly body in Lost Lagoon ink onto the envelope piece

Die cut the other butterfly and then stamp the body using the same ink

For the easel base, score the 3 1/2" x 4 1/2" piece of Soft Sky card at 2 1/4" on the long side

Fold and burnish, then lay the butterfly die on the card as shown below

Open the die cut up and score one of the butterflies through the narrowest part between the wings

Fold and burnish

Apply Tombow to the lower section of the folded wings

Die cut the detailed butterfly from Soft Sky card and attach to the stamped butterfly. Attach the topper to the base

Fold and burnish the scored envelope piece and adhere with Sticky Strip or other strong tape

While I've included a lot of photos, the card is really easy to create. I think it's stunning. and I'm not the only one. I'm humbled by the response of those who received the swap and by your comments.

Quad Easel Pictorial

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

Today's pictorial is the one I promised when I showed you the Easter Table Centerpiece. By it's nature the post is a long and picture heavy one, but I promise it's worth it! Although it looks complicated the entire project takes less than an hour to create and the result is stunning.

Card: 6" square base card (Pool Party used here), 5 3/4" x 2 7/8" (4), 2 7/8" squares (4), plus extras for decoration (see end of post for details)
Tools and embellishments: Stampin' Trimmer
Adhesives: Tombow and Stampin' Dimensionals

Using your trimmer, score the 4 rectangle pieces at 2 7/8", turn and score diagonally as shown. Alternatively use a ruler and stylus or diagonal plate

Burnish both scorelines as mountain folds

Attach the 2 7/8" squares to the easel bases. I only do one layer toppers so have embossed mine first

Attach embellishments to the toppers and add the stoppers using Stampin' Dimensionals

Attach the individual easels to the outer edge of the 6" base card using Stampin' Dimensionals, rotating after every addition. There will be 1/4" of the base visible in the center

Box...
Card: 7 7/8" square for base (Thick Whisper White used here), 8" square for lid (Pool Party used here)
Tools: Simply Scored and stylus and Paper Snips
Adhesive: Tombow

Score both pieces at 3/8" and 7/8" on all 4 sides. Top

Base

Burnish the scorelines and notch in the corners. Apologies for not photographing at that point. Pic below shows the vertical sides already adhered and the detail added to the lid

The "double wall" box gives a much stronger and more professional finish to the 1/2" deep box. Note the easels will need some gentle manipulation to stand up

Completed box with quad easel safely inside

Additional completion info
Card: Soft Sky and Whisper White
Ink: Soft Sky and Pool Party

This past weekend I joined hundreds of other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators at OnStage and the projects I'm sharing with you today are the swaps I created for the event.

For my main swap (60) I CASE'd my February DT creation for House of Cards, mini self-supporting easels...

Then I realized I wouldn't have enough room on it to add the detail label, so created mini envelopes to match...

Quite a few people asked me how I made the card and there were some who I'd promised one to who didn't get them, so I'll be making more this weekend and will post a pictorial soon.

Card: Whisper White (standard for envelope, thick for butterfly) and Soft Sky
Ink: Soft Sky, Pool Party and Lost Lagoon
Stamp sets: Watercolor Wings
Tools and embellishments: Butterfly and Bold Butterfly Thinlits, Envelope Punch Board
Adhesives: Tombow and Sticky Strip (for envelope, retired)

Challenges...
#52 Fancy Folds at Butterfly Challenge
#225 AAG at Pixie's Snippets Playground
#194 AG at Brown Sugar

For my team swap I CASE'd the triple easel card I showcased at Julia's team training last month...

Card: Thick Whisper White and Soft Sky
Ink: Soft Sky, Pool Party and Lost Lagoon
Stamp sets: Watercolor Wings
Tools and embellishments: Butterfly and Bold Butterfly Thinlits, Butterfly TIEF, Itty Bitty Accents Flower punch, Basic Rhinestones
Adhesives: Tombow and Stampin' Dimensionals

I'll be back on Wednesday with another creation, so I hope you'll join me then.
