Swirly Scribbly Birthday

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

Today's card is the first I created with the new Swirly Scribbles Thinlits and Swirly Bird stamp set bundle from Stampin' Up! Many of you know I've got a bit of a thing about grungy splatters and the stamp set has its own element...

I don't mind admitting that this bundle wasn't one on my wishlist when I saw it at OnStage back in April, but after seeing other demonstrators creations when they got during our pre-order period, it jumped onto my next order.

I love the card and you'll be seeing more from the set soon.

Card: Emerald Envy and Whisper White
Ink: Emerald Envy and Sweet Sugarplum
Stamp sets: Swirly Bird
Tools and embellishments: Swirly Scribbles thinlits
Adhesives: Tombow

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

I'm sure by now you know that I'm just a bit obsessed with the Playful Backgrounds stamp set from Stampin' Up! Don't tell Gorgeous Grunge but it could be the reason why that favorite is being neglected. Oops!

This is the first time I've used the brushstroke stamp and yep, I love it just as much as the others.

Card: Dapper Denim and Whisper White
Ink: So Saffron and Dapper Denim
Stamp sets: Playful Backgrounds and Me = Grateful (another neglected favorite)
Tools and embellishments: Corner Punch
Adhesives: Tombow

Teepee Pictorial

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

As promised on Friday when I was so incredibly honored to have taken part in the International Blog Hop, here's the pictorial for the featured teepee card. By its nature this post is very image heavy.

Three 4" x 4" squares of card for the base (Sweet Sugarplum used here)
Two 3 7/8" x 3 7/8" squares of DSP OR card (Whisper White card used here)
Adhesive of choice (Tombow used here), and Velcro dots OR magnets (Velcro dots used here)...

Using your Stampin' Up! Trimmer OR Simply Scored and Diagonal Plate OR ruler and stylus, score the 3 base pieces of card diagonally...

Lay 2 of the pieces down as shown, with their points together in the center...

Lay the third piece over it and mark the position on the lower pieces with a pencil...

Lift the upper piece and apply adhesive within the marked area from the diagonal fold, leaving a gap...

Attach the upper piece, ensuring the lower fold is clear. Repeat with the other lower piece. Here's what it will look like when flipped over...

Cut both pieces of DSP or stamped card diagonally. You only need 3 triangles, so keep one of them for later use or another project. I used 2 of the Playful Backgrounds stamps here...

Using adhesive of choice attach the triangles to the base. (NOTE: you can work right to left without issue)...

Lift the card and form into a triangle, with the plain piece underneath the other end, and gauge the position of the Velcro/ magnets. Attach the 1st to the underside of the decorated panel, as shown here...

Attach the other half of the fastener and the completed base will look similar to this when fastened...

Open out and decorate as desired...

Here's a reminder of my card...

For full details of the card, please refer to my original post. For all my other pictorials, please click here. Thank you!

I'll be back soon with another creation, so I hope you'll join me then.

Hello! Annual Catalog 2016 – 2017 Blog Hop

Hi everyone,

Welcome to the Hello! Annual Catalog 2016-2017 Blog Hop! You’ll be hopping around 11 amazing Stampin’ Up!® Independent Demonstrator's blogs, each with an inspirational project, featuring new catalogue products.

Currently you’re visiting Em Fairley in the UK. Hello there! You can continue hopping by using the previous and next buttons at the end of this post. Now, let’s scroll down to see what I’ve been making.

For my teepee card I've teamed a couple new InColors, Sweet Sugarplum and Flirty Flamingo, and two new stamp sets, Playful Backgrounds and Designer Tin of Cards, with an enduring personal favorite, the Bitty Butterfly Punch...

If the size of the sentiment panel looks a little small, it's because I've shrunk it, by cutting twice...

Regular readers will know I love to create my own "DSP." This card is the first time I've used two of the four stamps in the Playful Backgrounds set together and I love the look. Hope you do too?

If teepee cards are new to you and you'd like to know how to create one, please do come back on Monday to see the pictorial.
Card: Sweet Sugarplum and Whisper White
Ink: Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum
Stamp sets: Playful Backgrounds and Designer Tin of Cards
Tools and embellishments: Lots of Labels Framelits, Bitty Butterfly punch and Basic Rhinestones
Adhesives: Tombow and Stampin' Dimensionals

Thank you for visiting today. The next stop is the talented Julie Davison. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!
