Twine and/or Colors for House of Cards

It's the 1st of the month and that means it's time for a new challenge at House of Cards. Use twine and/or colors from the inspiration image...

And here are the two cards I've created, using the colors as inspiration...

I love the inlay technique, and these didn't take long at all. Fiddly, yep, but so much frun too.

Card: Cherry Cobbler (base), Whisper White (topper and beneath the roses), Smoky Slate, Blushing Bride and Flirty Flamingo

Wonderous Rose Inlay

Today's card was inspired by the new challenge over at MHK Designs, where this is the cue...

And here's my card...

It is the first inlaid card I've tried and while time consuming, even to just do the leaves, I hope you'll agree the effect was worth it?

Card: Smoky Slate (base and outline), Whisper White, Shimmery White (die cut base) and Mossy Meadow
