The Secret's Out...

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

I had thought I'd have to keep this from you until tomorrow, but I'm beyond honored... and more than a little relieved... to tell you that I'm joining the MHKDesigns Design Team for 2018!

Why relieved?  Well... I've had to keep the news secret since early November!  It had, just about, sunk in but now I guess that will truly happen... and hopefully even more so tomorrow when I share my first DT creation.

I've been friends with MHKDesigns owner, Mynn, for years—indeed I'm honored that tomorrow sees the start of my sixth term on her House of Cards blog DT.  And always loved her designs, so it truly is an honor to be joining the very talented team...

Whatever you're doing to bring in the New Year tonight, have a great one!  I'll be back in the morning with the thankfully already scheduled posts, so I hope you'll join me then.  Although on this occasion I don't mind if you don't do so immediately!  Grin.

Merry Christmas!

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

This is my last post before Christmas, so I want to wish all of you the Merriest of Christmases, and to thank y'all for your love and support this year.  Each of you really do mean so much to me!

I assure you these cards are subtly different to the one I showed you a couple weeks ago...

Can you see how?  Yep, it's the weaving pattern, which makes that die another really versatile one.

And, having loved the design so much I created some silver versions.  Apologies for the poor image quality this time, trying to photograph in natural light is impossible at this time of year!

Card: Unbranded white, and gold and silver mirror
Tools and embellishments: Noble Ornate Pierced Squares, Intermediate Weaving and Three Wise Men (all Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions

Challenges for the silver card...
AG at TTCRD
#154 AG at Crafty Gals Corner
#204 Christmas at 613 Avenue Create

I'll be back on the first of the year with a couple of creations, so I hope you'll join me then

Penguin Pair

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

When I saw this Xcut die, I loved how cute it looked, but also how great it would be to make a dent in the scrap pile.  They were a bit fiddly to slot together, but after a couple attempts (these were my 3rd and 4th), it got a lot easier.  And yes, since the photo was taken I have given them rhinestone eyes, so they can see!

Card: Black, White and Smokey Slate scraps
Tools and embellishments: Large 3d Penguin die from Xcut

The die isn't actually that large, as the birds stand just over 4" tall, and belly to wing tip (uncreased) they are just over 3 1/4".  Regardless, they are SO cute!

Challenges...
#311-312 AG at Pixie's Snippets Playground
#49 AAG at Polkadoodles
#273 Anything but a card at Brown Sugar

I'll be back soon with another creation, so I hope you'll join me then.

End of Term Blog Hop at House of Cards

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

It's the 1st of December (yikes!) so that means it's time for the end of term blog hop at House of Cards, and here's the inspiration image...

Here's my first card using the wonderful Heck the Halls digi stamp set from sponsor MHKDesigns

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers, and added the bling and burlap from the inspiration image.

Challenges...
AG at TTCRD
AG at Pixie's Snippets Playground (burlap)
AG at Polkadoodles

And my second card using Christmas Tree (1) from sponsor Digistamps4Joy

I subbed the wood paneling from the image for brick, and inadvertently rotated it, imitated the colors, then added a burlap thread before adding the image.

Our other sponsors are... Imagine That Digistamp and Beccy's Place

Now, please do hop along with us
