Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

The cards I'm sharing with you today are from sessions 1 and 2 of the recent 2nd Spring Virtual Retreat I did in my Facebook group.  Indeed, the prep for it and finishing up from it is what kept me from blogging recently.  Then, an internet outage this morning is the reason this post is so late out!

Groovi Plates: 26 Nested Octagons, Tina's Daisy Flowers parchlet, and Occasions border
Tools and embellishments: Groovi and Pergamano embossing, perforating and cutting tools, Perga color pens, white Posca pen and rhinestones from my stash

Card: Unbranded white, Clarity's clear parchment and Designer paper
Groovi Plates: Linda's Garden Swing
Tools and embellishments: Picot rectangle dies, Perga color pens and Pergamano brads

My First Parchment Gem

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

The card I'm sharing with you today is my first attempt at coloring a gem on parchment.  Inspired by the incredible Tina Cox... click HERE for a pictorial on how to color them (they can be done on paper too!)... it's surrounded by a couple of her Groovi plates...

Although I'm happy with the gem, I'd likely have been better starting with colors closer on the spectrum than yellow, pink, and blue, as well as the white highlights.  But I'll instead do so on future versions!  Grin

Card: Unbranded white, Clarity clear parchment and Antarctica Designer Paper
Groovi Plates: Scallop Nested Squares (outer frame), Tina's Daisy Flowers parchlet (all other embossing including gem frame), and Tina's Straight Border Pattern #1
Tools and embellishments: Groovi and Pergamano embossing, perforating, and cutting tools, Perga color pens, blending oil and pen, and rhinestones from my stash

Three Bird Aperture

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

The card I'm sharing with you today is one I created, in bulk, for one of the sessions in my recent Virtual Groovi Retreat.  For each live I do, I send out 5 of the same card to group members, but because there were 4 demos in less than 24 hours, and one of them was a client's commission, I decided to make life easier for myself by only doing this card to send out... to TWENTY recipients!

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Nested Scallop Squares, but after the card I'll share with you next week, you won't be seeing the scallops for a while!!!  Why?  Because those scallops alone meant there were over 10,000 picot cuts across the 20 cards... not counting those around the birds (from an NDC plate)!!!

It was all good fun though, and with the majority now received, I can confirm it was well worth the effort!

Card: Unbranded white, Clarity's clear parchment and Great Lakes DP
Groovi Plates: Nested Scallop Squares, Sprig Background, Tina's Daisy Flowers Parchlet (circles)
Tools and embellishments: Groovi and Pergamano embossing, perforating, and cutting tools, Perga Color pens, and Pergamano Brads
