My First Parchment Gem

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

The card I'm sharing with you today is my first attempt at coloring a gem on parchment.  Inspired by the incredible Tina Cox... click HERE for a pictorial on how to color them (they can be done on paper too!)... it's surrounded by a couple of her Groovi plates...

Although I'm happy with the gem, I'd likely have been better starting with colors closer on the spectrum than yellow, pink, and blue, as well as the white highlights.  But I'll instead do so on future versions!  Grin

Card: Unbranded white, Clarity clear parchment and Antarctica Designer Paper
Groovi Plates: Scallop Nested Squares (outer frame), Tina's Daisy Flowers parchlet (all other embossing including gem frame), and Tina's Straight Border Pattern #1
Tools and embellishments: Groovi and Pergamano embossing, perforating, and cutting tools, Perga color pens, blending oil and pen, and rhinestones from my stash

  1. Love the detailed perforating and the embossing. They go very well with the daisies. The gem in the center reminds me of a setting sun. Very nice. Practice makes perfect.

    Love, Hugs and Blessings,
