Gorgeously Grungy Lotus Blossom

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

For today's card, the second of this week's Lotus Blossom creations (if you missed yesterday's you can see it here), I've teamed refreshing Strawberry Slush blossoms with a Crumb Cake Gorgeous Grunge background and one of my favorite sentiment stamps from the Painted Petals set...

Card: Whisper White, folded base, panel and snippets for stamping
Ink: Strawberry Slush and Crumb Cake
Stamp sets: Lotus Blossom (FREE with Sale-A-Bration!), Gorgeous Grunge and Painted Petals
Tools: Decorative Label Punch, Stamping Sponges and Paper Snips

Stamp the 3 step blossoms in Strawberry Slush onto a snippet of Whisper White, stamping off once for the second and third stamps. Fussy cut with your Paper Snips.
Randomly stamp the Gorgeous Grunge stamp in Crumb Cake over the cut panel and attach to the folded base card.
Stamp the sentiment in Strawberry Slush onto another snippet of card, punch out with the Decorative Label punch and sponge the edges with Crumb cake.
Attach the three blossoms to the right edge of the card using Glue Dots and attach the sentiment in the center with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I gotta say I absolutely LOVE the card! With such a heartfelt sentiment it would be perfect to send at any time of year, but perhaps especially so for a birthday?

  1. Hi Em

This is really gorgeous! Very true sentiment and the flowers are absolutely wonderful! I played with my set for the first time yesterday and followed an alternative suggestion for layering the flower heads. Just reverse the order of stamping, so using the same SU pink (Pnk Pirouette I think) I stamped the solid background first, re-inked and then stamped the middle layer then did the same with the last and smallest layer. It worked a treat as the colour darkened with each layer and it saved the stamping off bit. Not my own idea I hasten to add ! :)
