Hi everyone,
Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!
If you've seen Linda's teapot tutorial and my version, posted on Monday, you'll have noticed that the lid of mine is different to Linda's. Here's a pictorial of how I made mine.
Card: Pear Pizzazz, cut to 11 3/4" x 2 7/8"
Tools and embellishments: Simply Scored and stylus, pencil, steel ruler, scissors
Adhesives: Sticky Strip (retired) OR Tombow
Score the card at ½" and 1" on the short side
Score the long side at 1 7/8", 3 3/4", 5 5/8", 7 ½", 9 3/8" and 11¼"
Flip the card over as shown below and using a pencil mark at 1 3/8", 3¼", 5 1/8", 7", 8 7/8" and 10 3/4"
Using your steel ruler and stylus, score from the pencil marks down to each corner, then erase the marks
Carefully burnish the diagonal folds as shown, and notch in and add tape or wet glue
Fold and burnish the lower scoreline only so that it folds up against the other ½" section, apply adhesive to secure, if desired. Secure the short ends together, then add tape or wet glue as shown below (this is where my version differs from Linda's)
Starting with triangles which are opposite each other, secure the first two
Once the second set are secure, you should have something like this
Using your scissors, carefully cut into each of the remaining sections
Secure the last triangles together and your lid is complete
Whatever you're doing this weekend, have a great one. I'll be back on Monday with another pictorial, so I hope you'll join me then.
Great tutorial and thank you for sharing.
