Botanicals Frame

Today's project is a very special one and an example of how Stampin' Up! products aren't just for cards...

The photo is of my Gram and it was taken professionally over 70 years ago, in a studio session gifted to her by my Granddad on their engagement. I've taken my inspiration for the colors from the image, including the stunning blue of her eyes, and added some sparkle with Wink of Stella.

Perhaps unsurprisingly she was speechless when she opened the gift. While I'd not thought about it until then, I now plan on doing something similar with more of her precious photos, and I'll share those with you as they are created.

Thankful Thoughts

I've recently revamped my creative space and in doing so got some new storage for my Stampin' Up! ink pads. The unit holds 2 pads in each section and I've put them in quite randomly, in pairs I might not necessarily use together. So, you might know what's coming over the next few weeks? Yep, each project I share, with the exception of tomorrow's HOC recap, will involve a different pair of colors from this wonderful selection...

Today's card is one I created for Mother's Day yesterday and features a sneak peek of Thankful Thoughts, one of the stamp sets that will be available on June 1st when the new annual catalog is launched.
