Double Twisted Easel Card Pictorial ~ Easter Card With Indescribable Gift

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

The card I'm sharing with you today is another double twisted easel, the showstopping style I shared with you on Friday. While that card was created with the gorgeous Love Is Kindness stamp set from Stampin Up!, this time I'm using Indescribable Gift, which I have to say is my absolute favorite stamp set right now, although I love them all!

Before we begin the tutorial, here's a look at the finished card, sat in it's box...

Here's what you'll need to create the project...
Card: 3 sheets Crisp Cantaloupe and 2 Whisper White (cut to sizes shown below)
Inks: Crumb Cake and Pear Pizzazz
Markers: Pink Pirouette and Wild Wasabi Blendabilities
Tools and embellishments: Labels Collection Framelits, Stampin' Trimmer, Simply Scored and Diagonal Plate, Decorative Label Punch, Stamping Sponges, Basic Rhinestones, Stampin' Dimensionls, Tombow glue

For the card, cut an 8" x 8" square and two 4" x 4" squares of Crisp Cantaloupe

Score the 8" square at 4"

Using the Stampin' Trimmer, cut down to the score line at 4" (if you've not got the Stampin' Trimmer, mark the 4" point and use a ruler and craft knife to make the cut ~ pic taken on Simply Scored)

With the card on the Diagonal Plate, score each of the squares diagonally as shown, turning the card for the second score line to create the easel (use ruler and stylus to create score lies if you don't have the plate)

To complete the base preparation, stamp the image from Indescribable Gift randomly in Crumb Cake ink onto the two 4" squares and the inside of the base (pic shows squares on the unfolded base)

To prepare the four toppers (three for the card and one for the box lid), stamp the image twice (one for decoupaging) and the sentiments from the stamp set onto one of the sheets of Whisper White. Color the images with Wild Wasabi and Pink Pirouette Blendies. Cut one of the images, both sentiments and a blank with a Labels Collection Framelit die (I used the third from the smallest). Sponge Pear Pizzazz ink onto edges of all 4

Cut flowers from second image and decoupage onto the cut one with Stampin' Dimesionals. Pop the image and portrait cut sentiment onto the 4" Crisp Cantaloupe squares with more dimensionals. To attach the panels to the base, add Tombow glue to the base as shown

BE CAREFUL when positioning the toppers, they need to be placed as shown so they will be the correct way up when the easels are open. Attach the landscape cut sentiment with more dimensionals onto the inside of the base card

For the box base, cut a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe to 5 3/4" x 9 3/4". For the top, cut a Whisper White piece to 5 13/16" x 9 13/16".

Stamp both box pieces to coordinate with the card and score both pieces on all sides at 3/4". Using Decorative Label punch, or other, punch each side of the box lid as shown

Fold the score lines, notch in, adhere the corners and add the last die cut to the lid to complete the box.

To complete the card, cut strips of 3 rhinestones and attach to each of the easel toppers. Carefully place completed card into the box (it is ¼" bigger than the card so there's plenty of room). Here's another look at the finished card

If you've stayed with me to this point, THANK YOU! I hope you've enjoyed the pictorial and have been inspired. If you create a double twisted easel card, I'd love to see it. Pop a link into the comments, or post onto my Facebook page.
