Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

The card I'm sharing with you today may look familiar to regular readers and you'd be right, at least the style of it. It's another framed triple butterfly, that's fast becoming one of my go to styles for a quick and classy card. You can see the first two cards I created in this style here and here.

This time I cut 2 of the butterflies from snippets of card that I covered with some of the washi tape from the Happiness Is PL Accessory Pack from Stampin' Up! The third was cut from a snippet of Very Vanilla.

Card: Whisper White, So Saffron, and snippets of Very Vanilla and Vellum
Ink: Delightful Dijon
Stamp set: You've Got This
Tools and embellishments: Bold Butterflies Framelits, Butterfly Thinlits, Scoring Board and Stylus and Basic Pearls

HUGE THANKS & Heat Embossed Faux Letterpress Pictorial for HOC

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

Regular readers will have noticed that a major change has happened to my blog today. If you're reading this via email, please click the post title and come over to the blog to see it. The amazing makeover is thanks to the even MORE amazing Mynn Kitchen, owner of HOC and On a Stampage. It was the prize after entering her blogiversary giveaway last month. I'm amazed I won and amazed at the new look of the blog. It is SO me and was done with very little input from me. Those of you who know me well, will know that it's not often I'm speechless, but yep. Mynn did it! HUGE THANKS to Mynn for both her amazing work and inspiration!!!

So, with perfect timing after my bloggy makeover, you might recall that last Saturday I showed you this card, my DT contribution for the latest challenge over at House of Cards, where the cue is Metallic. Today I'm honored to be representing Group 2 and bringing you the pictorial for how to create the card...

You'll need Versamark ink, embossing powder (I've used Stampin' Up's Gold), an embossing folder (I've used SU's Boho Chic, a folded card blank, panel and extra for stampin' (I've used SU's Whisper White)

Open the EF and apply Versamark ink to the raised detail

Carefully lay the card panel onto the folder and press to transfer the ink

Lift the piece off and heat emboss with powder of choice

Stamp your chosen sentiment (I've used one of my favorites from SU's Me = Grateful set) in Versamark onto the spare card

Heat emboss the sentiment

Using a metallic marker (I've used one from Paper Mania), add detail to both the faux letterpress panel and the sentiment

Die cut or punch the sentiment (I've used SU's Deco Labels Framelits)

For a finishing touch color some pearls with the marker, leave to dry for a few minutes while you attach panel and sentiment to the card (I've lifted both with dimensionals)

Add colored pearls to card and you're done!

I'll be back on Sunday with my latest DT creation for 613 Avenue Create, so I hope you'll join me then.

Birthday Greetings with Moon Lake

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

The card I'm sharing with you today is the one I created for my bestie's birthday yesterday. I designed the card in my mind as soon as I saw the Moon Lake stamp set from Stampin' Up! in the then-new Spring/ Summer catalog, but didn't create it until early July. Yep, you read that right, around SIX MONTHS later! I'm not sure about you, but it is by FAR the longest lead time from conception to creation for me. EVER! Indeed the card is the reason why I bought the set, because I knew it would be perfect for him!

My bestie and I share so much, including some of my works in progress. Yep, he saw this one too, the watercolor. His response? "AMAZING!" Of course I didn't tell him it was for HIS card and he didn't see the finished card until he opened it. It was so tough keeping it secret from him, but I managed it. Just!

Oh, you're wondering what his response was? He loved it and yep, he recognized the painting! Grin

Card: Whisper White and Watercolor
Ink: Jet Black StazOn, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Early Espresso and Smoky Slate
Stamp sets: Moon Lake (retired) and Wetlands (birthday sentiment)
Tools: Aqua Painters and Deco Labels Framelits
Adhesive: Stampin' Dimensionals
