Whatever you're doing this weekend, have a great one. I'll be back on Tuesday with my latest DT creation for the end of term blog hop at House of Cards, so I hope you'll join me then.

Thanksgiving Suite Part 2

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

The first of today's projects is a quick and easy banner created with my current favorite stamp set, Vintage Leaves from Stampin' Up!, the matching Framelits and Little Letters Framelits. I know it doesn't look much like a banner in the pic, but I assure you it's now hanging over my mantel, having had holes punched and silver cording trim threaded...

Today's second project, the favor boxes for my Thanksgiving table, have been created using a tutorial from the amazingly talented Pootles, aka my Stampin' Sister Sam Donald...

Card: Cajun Craze and Cherry Cobbler
Ink: Cajun Craze and Early Espresso
Stamp set: Vintage Leaves and For All Things
Tools and embellishments: Leaf and Little Letters Framelits, Petite Petals Punch (lid of box), 1/8" hole punch and silver cording trim
Adhesives: Tear & Tape, Stampin' Dimensionals and Tombow

Today's second project is another for my table, this time the place cards. They aren't anywhere near as big as they appear, it's just how I've cropped the image...

Stamped Punch Window Pictorial for House of Cards

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

I'm once again honored to be representing Team 2 at House of Cards and bringing you a pictorial on how I created my card for this month's challenge, which you can see here.

I started by stamping the image from the For All Things stamp set from Stampin' Up! onto a piece of Whisper White card that's ½" smaller than my card base, using SU!'s Cajun Craze ink and stamping off first...

I then cut 2 apertures in the card using the smallest die from the Deco Labels Framelits set from SU, and added another couple leaves in Delightful Dijon...

I then stamped my chosen sentiment from the set in Early Espresso ink...

I then added Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the panel...

Before adding it to the prepared Delightful Dijon card base. My Cherry Cobbler layer is ¼" smaller than the base card...

To complete the card, I added Tear & Tape to the back of the cutouts and then carefully replaced them into the apertures...

You can see my pictorial and the other members of Group 2's creations in today's post at House of Cards.

Card: Delightful Dijon, Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White
Ink: Delightful Dijon, Cajun Craze and Early Espresso
Stamp set: For All Things
Tools: Deco Labels Framelits
Adhesive: Stampin' Dimensionals and Tear & Tape

Whatever you're doing this weekend, have a great one! I'll be back on Monday with another creation, so I hope you'll join me then.

Texture Tips for House of Cards

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

I'm honored to be representing Design Team Team 2 at House of Cards and bringing you some tips on how to add even more texture with embossing folders than is perhaps at first obvious. I LOVE using them and for both my original card for this month's challenge and the one I'm sharing with you today, I've used the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (TIEF) from Stampin' Up!

Once embossed, card can be used with either the raised image upward (embossed) or downwards (debossed). I've used both for today's card, cutting the embossed layer with one of the Deco Labels Framelits...

Here's a reminder of the card I shared on October 1st at the start of the challenge...

Challenges for today's card...

I'll be back on Thursday with another creation, so I hope you'll join me then.
