Can you believe we're halfway through October already? It's scary how quick the month and indeed the year is going!!! The holidays will soon be here, but more about that later. I've got another House of Cards challenge inspired card for you today. Yep, I know, it's the third I've shared with you this month, but if I can't spoil you, who can? If you missed the first two, you can see them here and here.
I've used the same design elements for this card, the Woodgrain TIEF, Vintage Leaves stamp and die bundle and For All Things stamp set from Stampin' Up! that I used for the first two...
Card: Cajun Craze, Whisper White and snippets of Vellum
Ink: Cajun Craze and Jet Black StazOn

October Awareness Month ~ Baby Loss
Hi everyone,
Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!
Today's card is another Awareness Month creation, this time for baby loss. While there are just two birds on it, I've created it in honor of my three angels, Hannah Louise, Joshua James and Toni-Louise. All three passed away before they were born and I'll forever treasure the time I had with each of them.
I am so blessed to be their Mama, and I'm even more blessed because in passing, my precious little man Josh saved my life, thanks to the discovery of a previously undiagnosed condition. While the grief and pain I feel at their loss will always remain with me, I am comforted, not only by the fact that they are together, but that they are always with me and on the day my Lord and Savior chooses, we will be reunited.
The verse I've used, from Stampin' Up!'s Trust God stamp set, says it all... "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding."
If you, or someone you know has experienced the loss of a child, whether in pregnancy or in childhood, I'd be honored to create a similar card in their honor for you. Please contact me by email at emlouisef at gmail dot com. Similarly, if you've been touched by my post and would like to speak to me, in absolute confidence, about the issues raised, please do. I'm here for all of you, whether you're a regular reader, or this is the first time you've read one of my posts. You can reach me either via email or at the Ministry page.
Card: Whisper White
Markers: Calypso Coral and Coastal Cabana Stampin' Write (retired, from the 2013-2015 In Color pack)
Stamp set: Trust God
Tools and embellishments: Woodgrain TIEF, Bird Builder Punch, Deco Labels Framelits, Basic Pearls
Adhesive: Tear & Tape and Stampin' Dimensionals

Texture Tips for House of Cards
Hi everyone,
Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!
I'm honored to be representing Design Team Team 2 at House of Cards and bringing you some tips on how to add even more texture with embossing folders than is perhaps at first obvious. I LOVE using them and for both my original card for this month's challenge and the one I'm sharing with you today, I've used the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (TIEF) from Stampin' Up!
Once embossed, card can be used with either the raised image upward (embossed) or downwards (debossed). I've used both for today's card, cutting the embossed layer with one of the Deco Labels Framelits...
Here's a reminder of the card I shared on October 1st at the start of the challenge...

All Natural Four Feathers
Hi everyone,
Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!
I LOVE feathers and I'm loving all the different creative possibilities with the delightful Four Feathers stamp set from Stampin' Up! If you've missed the designs I've shared with you so far this week, you can see them here, here and here.
For today's card I've embraced the natural feel of the feathers and used a neutral tone and Woodgrain embossing folder. Even the sentiment I've used comes from another nature-themed stamp set, Wetlands...
Card: Crumb Cake and Whisper White
Ink: Crumb Cake
Stamp sets: Four Feathers and Wetlands
Tools: Feathers Framelits (from stamp and die bundle, saving 15%) and Woodgrain EF
Adhesives: Sticky Strip and Stampin' Dimensionals
Cut a panel of Whisper White card slightly smaller than the Crumb Cake folded card base (I cut mine ¼" smaller) and emboss with the Woodgrain EF. Attach to base with Sticky Strip.
Stamp the feather from Four Feathers twice in Crumb Cake ink onto the top right corner of a Whisper White panel. Stamp a third feather onto a scrap of white and cut with the Framelit die.
Stamp the sentiment from Wetlands in Crumb Cake ink onto the lower left corner of the panel. Attach panel to a Crumb Cake panel cut slightly larger (mine is ¼" bigger), with more Sticky Strip and add to the card with more tape.
Attach the third feather with a couple Stampin' Dimensionals.

Thank You With Beautiful Wings
Hi everyone,
Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and truly appreciate each of you more than you know! I hope you had a great Christmas and received everything you wished for!
Today's card is perfect for sending after Christmas and it's also my Guest Designer contribution for challenge #21 over at Mrs. A.'s Butterfly Challenge, following my win in Challenge #18. Thanks again Mrs. A. for such an honor!
I've used a few of my favorite things to create the card, the Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Woodgrain embossing folder and Work Of Art stamp set, together with the Bracket Label punch from Stampin' Up!
I've also used a favorite technique for the design that I've not done for a while, white on white, or in this case Very Vanilla on Very Vanilla. The sentiment is embossed in gold and I love the look

Sweet Like Chocolate
Hi everyone,
Thanks for stopping by and for your wonderful comments. It's an honor to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!
For today's projects I've colored one of my favorite stamps, the Blended Bloom from Stampin' Up! with Melon Mambo and Skin Tone Blendabilities markers. They inspire visions of chocolate for me, hence the title of the post. See what I did there?
Both are gifts for Lynn who last week joined my Creative Crew. She had included the stamp and Blendies in her Starter Kit so I wanted to create something really special that she can use for inspiration.
For her card I popped the single bloom up on a panel of Crumb Cake card embossed with the Woodgrain Embossing folder. I created the the banner by stamping the greeting with the Skinny Mini Alphabet and popped that up too before adding a few Basics Pearls.
After creating a large gift box from more Crumb Cake card I cut a piece of Very Vanilla big enough to cover the front and all four sides of the box, then randomly stamped the Blended Bloom with Memento ink and colored with the blendies.
I then trimmed it to size and adhered the panels so that the finished box looks as if it's wrapped in the design, but then I forgot to take photos of the sides. Oops! I've kept each of the four corner squares and will use them for another project, so nothing goes to waste :)
I'm so honored that Lynn chose to join my team and would be equally honored if you would too. Now is a GREAT time to join Stampin' Up! because the launch of the new Seasonal Catalog is coming up, as well as Sale-A-Bration! I've had a sneak peek at the goodies and they are not to be missed! Another Wondrous Wreath
Hi everyone,
Thanks for stopping by today, it's an honor to have you here. The card I'm sharing with you today is another of my creations using the gorgeous Wondrous Wreath stamp and die bundle from Stampin' Up! You can see the others here. This time I teamed it with the Hardwood background stamp, which on this occasion I heat embossed using Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder on Whisper White card...
I used non-traditional colors of Lost Lagoon and Tempting Turquoise for the wreath and Cherry Cobbler ink for the bow. The "Joy" die is one of the dies that comes in the set and I cut it in Cherry Cobbler card. The embossed panel is layered onto Lost Lagoon which was then added to the Whisper White card blank. For the finishing touch I colored a few Basic Pearls with the medium Cherry Cobbler Blendability Marker.
I love the design and would love to know what you think of it.
