Amazingly Amazing Perfect Blend

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

Today's creation teams the Perfect Blend stamp set from Stampin' Up! with other sadly retiring products and some of my favorites. Thankfully Gorgeous Grunge isn't retiring, because I'd joked to a group of other SU demos that if it did, I'd eat a Piercing Mat! I'm SO glad that it's not going! LOL

Card: Whisper White, Strawberry Slush and Very Vanilla (butterfly)
Ink: Strawberry Slush and Blushing Bride
Stamp sets: Perfect Blend, Gorgeous Grunge and Painted Petals (sentiment)
Tools and embellishments: Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Decorative Label Punch and Basic Pearls
Adhesive: Stampin' Dimensionals

Kinda Beautiful

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

I hope you had a great weekend? My week off from the blog flew by and I was able to get a lot of other things done. That said, I feel refreshed and the weather is finally looking and indeed feeling like spring now. You could say it's a kinda beautiful day.

My first card since my bloggy vacation is a kinda beautiful card, created with the Kinda Eclectic stamp set and Beautiful Wings embosslit from Stampin' Up! Yep, there's triple meaning to today's post title...

Card: Basic Black, Whisper White and a snippet of Crisp Cantaloupe
Ink: Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe
Stamp set: Kinda Eclectic
Tools and embellishments: Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Decorative Label punch and Basic Pearls
Adhesive: Tombow and Stampin' Dimensionals

The colors I've used are two of the soon to be retiring 2013-2015 In Colors and I absolutely LOVE them! I've been using them quite a bit and will continue to do so until they disappear. Grab them while you still can!

Thank You With Beautiful Wings

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and truly appreciate each of you more than you know! I hope you had a great Christmas and received everything you wished for!

Today's card is perfect for sending after Christmas and it's also my Guest Designer contribution for challenge #21 over at Mrs. A.'s Butterfly Challenge, following my win in Challenge #18. Thanks again Mrs. A. for such an honor!

I've used a few of my favorite things to create the card, the Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Woodgrain embossing folder and Work Of Art stamp set, together with the Bracket Label punch from Stampin' Up!

I've also used a favorite technique for the design that I've not done for a while, white on white, or in this case Very Vanilla on Very Vanilla. The sentiment is embossed in gold and I love the look

Another screen card

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I truly do appreciate each of you more than you know!

The card I'm sharing with you today is another screen card created with some gorgeous products from Stampin' Up! You can see my other screen card creations here.

I created the 6" tall screen base from Strawberry Slush card and then used the piece left over to cut the butterflies from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit and the sentiment panel with the Decorative Label punch.

I cut four panels from Crumb Cake card and placed them next to one another, then stamped one of the flowers from the Hostess set Bloom with Hope in Rich Razzleberry ink across the panels to give a continuous look. The sentiment is also from that set and stamped in the same ink.

I layered the stamped panels onto some cut from one of the sheets from All Abloom DSP and attached them to the base, then added the butterflies and sentiment.

I'm really happy with the card and would love to know your thoughts too.

Beautiful Wings Screen Card

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I truly do appreciate each of you more than you know!

If you're a regular visitor here you might be aware that I love entering my creations into challenges. Most often I'll design a card and then see if there are any current challenges it fits. However, this card was designed for a specific challenge over at Butterfly challenge.

I LOVE the Beautiful Wings Embosslit from Stampin' Up! and this is the first time I've used it with some of our DSP, which was included in some happy mail from a friend that I received a few weeks ago.

I created the 6" tall screen card base from Very Vanilla card and the Decorative Label punch, then added Crumb Cake panels stamped in the same ink with our Hardwood background stamp. I cut more butterflies from the left over card and added them to the card using Tombo glue.

Bird and butterflies

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your comments. I truly do appreciate each of you more than you know.

The inspiration for this design came from one of my Stampin' Up! friends and I've added my own twist to Aida's design...

It's been awhile since I've created a square card, but the extra space works so well and I'm really happy with the look. The Very Vanilla card base is folded to 5" square, the Crumb Cake layer is 4 3/4" square and the top Very Vanilla is 4 1/2" square. I stamped the top layer with the Dictionary background stamp in Crumb Cake, then on a snippet of Very Vanilla I stamped one of the six Petite Petals designs 3 times in Crisp Cantaloupe. The sentiment from the Trust God set is also Crisp Cantaloupe on Very Vanilla.

I then punched the flowers out with the matching punch, and the sentiment with the Decorative Label punch, also punching an extra label from both colored card. The Bird Builder and Beautiful Wings Embosslit are from more Crisp Cantaloupe and I punched the additional branches from more Crumb Cake. I cut the lower labels in half and trimmed the point from them, so they would sit neatly beneath one another.

To complete the design, I've added basic pearls for the bird's eye, the butterfly bodies and flower centers.
