Four Feathers Emboss Resist

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I'm honored to have you here and I truly appreciate each of you more than you know!

The delicate Four Feathers stamp set from Stampin' Up! that was in last year's holiday catalog was brought back in the current Occasions catalog. I got mine last year, but because it arrived so close to Christmas and I then got other new goodies from the new catalog, I'm only now getting to play with it. About time!

My first creation might not surprise regular readers and the post title is a bit of a giveaway too. Yep, I've used one of my favorite techniques, emboss resist and a favorite color, Pool Party...

Card: Whisper White (base, panel and a small scrap) and a scrap of Coastal Cabana
Ink: Versamark and Pool Party
Stamp sets: Four Feathers and Bloom with Hope (sentiment)
Tools: White Stampin' Emboss Powder, Feathers Framelits (bundle with stamp set and save 15%), Stamping Sponges

Stamp the feather from Four Feathers in Versamark ink randomly over the Whisper White panel and twice onto the Coastal Cabana scrap. Cover with White EP and heat emboss.
Stamp the feather in Pool Party on Coastal Cabana card and die cut those 3 with the Feathers Framelits.
Sponge Pool Party ink over the embossed panel and also over the small Whisper White scrap.
Stamp the feather in Pool Party ink onto the panel. Attach to folded Whisper White base card.
Stamp the sentiment from the Bloom with Hope hostess stamp set in Pool Party ink onto the scrap and snip into a banner. Pop onto the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Attach the die cut feathers to the card with Mini Glue Dots.

Sad sad news

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I truly do appreciate each of you more than you know.

Over the weekend I heard the very sad news from my friend Paula that her friend Lynn had lost her battle against cancer at just 41 years old. Although I didn't know Lynn or her family personally, you might recall that I created a card for her back in September when we first learned of her diagnosis (you can see that card here) and my heart breaks for her husband Paul, two young sons and their family and friends.

The first card I'm sharing today is for them...

...and this one is for Paula and her family...

Both are mini screen cards, cut at 5" tall instead of my usual 6". I've embossed one of the Flowering Flourish stamps in gold and also embossed the sentiments which are from the Hostess set Bloom with Hope.

Please say a prayer for them all and hold your loved ones tight.

Rest in perfect peace Lynn.

Monochrome with Melon Mambo

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I truly do appreciate each of you more than you know!

The card I'm sharing with you today is in the same style as those I shared with you on Monday and Tuesday this week, but this time I've turned it and used Melon Mambo ink and Blendabilities to create it and added a touch of Crisp Cantaloupe card to layer the sentiment panel...

More monotone

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I truly do appreciate each of you more than you know!

The card I'm sharing is another monotone creation combining the Hostess stamp set Bloom with Hope and Blendabilities markers from Stampin' Up! If you missed yesterday's card in Rich Razzleberry, you can see it here. You can see my other "Blendie" creations here and Bloom with hope here.

For today's card I stamped the largest of the flowers from the set in Lost Lagoon ink on Very Vanilla card, then used the lightest of the Coastal Cabana Blendabilities to color them, before going over the centers with the medium shade.

The sentiment is stamped in Lost Lagoon on more Very Vanilla and then punched with the Scallop Oval Punch and layered with another from Pistachio Pudding card.

The differences between the three colors are so subtle and create a great monotone design. I hope you agree?

Monotone birthday with Blendabilities

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I truly do appreciate each of you more than you know!

Regular readers will know that I absolutely LOVE Stampin' Up!'s Blendabilities alcohol markers and I turned to them again to create today's quick and easy card. For most of my other "Blendie" creations, which you can see here, I've stamped the image in Memento ink before coloring, but not this time...

I stamped the largest flower from the Hostess set Bloom with Hope in Rich Razzleberry ink randomly on Very Vanilla card. I then colored all the flowers with the lightest shade of Rich Razzleberry Blendie and then used the medium shade to color the centers of the flowers.

I popped the stamped panel up onto another slightly larger one using Stampin' Dimensionals and added that to a folded tent card base. The sentiment from the set is stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink and punched with the Scallop Oval Punch.

I love the look and would love to know what you think of it too.

Another screen card

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I truly do appreciate each of you more than you know!

The card I'm sharing with you today is another screen card created with some gorgeous products from Stampin' Up! You can see my other screen card creations here.

I created the 6" tall screen base from Strawberry Slush card and then used the piece left over to cut the butterflies from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit and the sentiment panel with the Decorative Label punch.

I cut four panels from Crumb Cake card and placed them next to one another, then stamped one of the flowers from the Hostess set Bloom with Hope in Rich Razzleberry ink across the panels to give a continuous look. The sentiment is also from that set and stamped in the same ink.

I layered the stamped panels onto some cut from one of the sheets from All Abloom DSP and attached them to the base, then added the butterflies and sentiment.

I'm really happy with the card and would love to know your thoughts too.

Bloom With Hope birthday

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I truly do appreciate each of you more than you know!

Today's card is created using a couple of stamps from the Blended Bloom hostess stamp set from Stampin' Up! and is available FREE with any order over £150.00! Note: the prices in the image tool below are purely to show the value of the sets.

The set is great for use with our Blendabilities markers and Memento ink, but this time I've stamped the flowers in Rich Razzleberry and I LOVE the look...

I created a tent fold base with Cherry Cobbler, laying the fold to the left, then stamped the flowers on Very Vanilla. The variation in color is because I didn't reink the stamp. The sentiment is also stamped in Rich Razzleberry and punched with the Decorative Label punch, layered with another Cherry Cobbler.

All the products used are available 24/7 in my Online Shop. Click the images below to go straight to them.

Gorgeous Blended Bloom 3

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I truly do appreciate each of you more than you know!

This card is the last of three I've created for three very special ladies in my life, my sister and two teenage nieces. You can see the first one here and yesterday's here. Today's is for my younger niece who is 13 today! Happy birthday Nicole!

All the cards follow the same basic recipe:
5 inch square card base in Crumb Cake
4 3/4" square color mat
4 1/2" square Very Vanilla stamped with the Gorgeous Grunge in Crumb Cake and coordinating color
Blended Bloom stamped in Memento Black ink and colored with Pumpkin Pie Blendabilities and one other color
Sentiment stamped on Very Vanilla and punched with the Decorative Label punch with additional coordinating layers
4 1/2" square Very Vanilla inside stamped with Gorgeous Grunge in Crumb Cake

Here's today's card...

The color mats are Lost Lagoon. The stamped sentiment from the hostess set Bloom with hope and the additional Grunge are stamped in Lost Lagoon. The detailing on the Bloom is with the Coastal Cabana blendie.

All the products I've used to create the card are available 24/7 in my Online Shop. Click the images below to be taken straight to them.

Gorgeous Blended Bloom 2

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I truly do appreciate each of you more than you know!

This card is the second of three I've created for three very special ladies in my life, my sister and two teenage nieces. You can see the first one here. The younger of the two celebrates her birthday tomorrow, yep, she's a Halloween baby :)

Today's is for my older niece...

The color mats are Strawberry Slush. The additional detailing on the bloom is with the Melon Mambo Blendie. Sentiment is from the hostess set Bloom With Hope and that and the additional Grunge are stamped in Blushing Bride.

All the products I've used for today's card are available 24/7 in my Online Shop. Click the images below to be taken straight to them.

Fall wreath

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your comments. I truly appreciate each of you more than you know.

The card I'm sharing with you today isn't the one I thought I would be, because that isn't quite ready yet (I'm waiting on my latest UPS delivery of Stampin' Up! goodies), but instead it's another Wondrous Wreath creation.

The set isn't just for Christmas, it can be used for any season or occasion, simply by changing the colors used. Here I've colored directly onto the base wreath stamp with the new 2014 - 2016 In Color markers, Hello Honey and Tangelo Twist, then used the Mossy Meadow marker for the second layer. The berries on the wreath and base card are the Blackberry Bliss marker.

The sentiments, again colored with Tangelo Twist are taken from the Gifts of Kindness stamp set (thank you), and the hostess set Bloom with Hope. The bow from the Framelits set is cut from a scrap of Blackberry Bliss card and I've added a layer of it to the folded Whisper White base before adding the top layer.

Quick card

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments. I truly do appreciate all of you!

The card I'm sharing with you today took just minutes to create using two of my favorite Stampin' Up! colors, Strawberry Slush and Crumb Cake and on this dull day they sure do brighten things up...

The main image is from Gifts of Kindness, the sentiment from the hostess set Bloom with Hope, and the chevrons are from the Work of Art set. I've layered the Whisper White panel onto Strawberry Slush card then onto a folded card blank. I'm really pleased with the result and hope you like it too!

Thinking of you

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by today and for all your wonderful comments. I really do appreciate all of you so much!

The card I'm sharing with you today is the first I've created with my latest Stampin' Up goodies...

All items used are available to by in My Shop, which is always open.
Baked Brown Sugar and Strawberry Slush card (from the In Color 2013-2015 pack) 131289
Whisper White card 106549
Memento ink 132708
Bloom with Hope clear stamp set (hostess gift) 133952
In Color 2013-2015 Stampin' Write markers 131260 (Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding used)
Beautiful Wings embosslit 118138
Gifts of kindness clear stamp 130444 (sentiment)
Stampin' Dimensionals 104430

I stamped the images twice onto whisper white card and used the brush end of the markers to color the images. Because of the sketchy nature of the stamps, I deliberately didn't go right to all the edges and at times went over, but I think it suits the image.

I cut the flowers from the second set and have popped them up using dimensionals, cutting to size when needed. The whisper white and baked brown sugar card layers have also been popped up with dimensionals and I added the butterflies to complete the look.
